Neighborhood House's Thanksgiving Basket Program Brings Holiday Meals to Families in Need

Rochester, MI – October 16, 2024 – Neighborhood House is pleased to announce its annual Thanksgiving Basket Program, a community initiative aimed at helping local families celebrate the holiday season with joy. This year, the program will provide more than 300 meals to families in need, ensuring they can enjoy a hearty and traditional Thanksgiving meal.

Scheduled for November 22nd and November 24th, the program is designed to make the holiday season a little brighter for those facing financial difficulties and food insecurity. Each basket will contain all the essentials for a full Thanksgiving dinner, including turkey, mash potaoes, and other traditional sides.

"At Neighborhood House, we believe that no one should have to go without during the holidays. The Thanksgiving Basket Program reflects our commitment to supporting our community and ensuring that every family has the opportunity to enjoy a warm meal together," said Michael Dreon, Executive Director of Neighborhood House.

Families wishing to participate in the program can register at ranh.org/client-events. Registration is required to receive a Thanksgiving basket, and we encourage eligible families to sign up as soon as possible, as spaces are limited.

How to Get Involved: Community members are invited to help with the distribution of Thanksgiving baskets. Volunteers play a vital role in the success of this program, assisting with the packaging and delivery of meals. Those interested in volunteering can sign up by visiting https://go.ranh.org/thanksgiving-volunteers. Your time and efforts will help ensure that families in our community can celebrate Thanksgiving with comfort and gratitude.
