Neighborhood House Launches 2024 Holiday Giving Tree Program to Support Families in Need

ROCHESTER HILLS, MICH – Neighborhood House is proud to announce the return of its annual Holiday Giving Tree Program, offering a way to bring joy to families facing financial hardship during the holiday season.

Each year, the Holiday Giving Tree Program provides gifts to over 400 local children from low-income families in Rochester, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Oakland Township, and Addison Township. With continued economic challenges, Neighborhood House anticipates serving the same number, if not more, children in need this holiday season.

“We are all feeling the effects of inflation, but for families who are already struggling, the holidays can be especially difficult,” said Michael Dreon, executive director. “Thanks to the generosity of our community, we can help lighten the load for these families and bring joy to their homes this season.”

Through the Holiday Giving Tree Program, each child receives:

  • Two gifts or gift cards (suggested $25 price range)

  • A pajama set

  • A hoodie or sweatshirt

  • A winter hat, gloves/mittens

  • One book

  • A family board game

The program’s success depends on the generosity of our community and individual donors. Participating is simple:

All gifts must be delivered to one of the following locations by Tuesday, Dec. 3rd:

  • Neighborhood House main office: 1720 South Livernois Rd.

  • Retro Fitness: 637 North Main St.

  • Rochester Hills Public Library: 500 Olde Town Rd.

  • Auburn Hills City Manager’s Office: 1827 North Squirrel Rd.

In addition to the gifts, Neighborhood House also distributes holiday food baskets to families in need, thanks to donations from Community Partners.

For questions, contact Carmelina Vulcano, the Holiday Giving Tree Program Coordinator, at carmelina@ranh.org or 248-651-5836. If your organization is interested in participating at a corporate level, please reach out to Carmelina.
