Transportation
Neighborhood House provides our neighbors in need with transportation to and from doctors’ appointments and social services visits. Each year, we provide approximately 550 rides, ensuring that our neighbors without transportation can get to and from essential services. Our current van was obtained through a generous grant funded by St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
Bike Program
We also operate a bike program to assist our clients in need of transportation. Each year, our community members donate bikes to us and they are refurbished as needed for safe use by the Rochester Bike Shop. Then, we connect these bikes to clients and their children who otherwise would have no means of transportation to get to work, school, the grocery store, and more. Due to the generosity of the New Belgium Brewing Company bike grant, we are also able to provide bike helmets and locks for those who receive a bike. Are you interested in donating a bike?
