Neighborhood House Spring Bike Drive

Date: Saturday, April 12th, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Neighborhood House | 1720 S. Livernois Rd.

Event Details: Join us for our annual Bike Drive to help community members gain independence and mobility! We're collecting gently used bicycles to distribute to clients in need through our Bike Program.

What we're accepting:- Children's bikes in serviceable condition | Adult bikes in serviceable condition

Need a Bike? Our Bike Program opens for clients on April 1st. If you or someone you know needs a bicycle, please contact: Peggy | Phone: 248.651.5836, ext. 11. Please leave a message with your name and the number of bikes needed. We'll get back to you as soon as possible to arrange pickup.

Questions?For more information about donating or volunteering at the Bike Drive, please contact our main office.

Our Impact: Last year, we successfully provided 57 bicycles to clients in our community. This year, we're aiming even higher with a goal of distributing 60 bikes!

Your donation of a bicycle can make a significant difference in someone's life by providing essential transportation for work, school, and daily activities.

VOLUNTEERS: Make a difference this Easter season! Join our wonderful team of volunteers as we assemble and distribute Easter baskets for local children. We need your helping hands! Whether you can spare an hour or stay all day, your time will help bring smiles to children in our community.

What We Offer:

  • Free blood pressure checks and health screenings to help you stay on top of your wellness

  • One-on-one conversations with medical doctors to address your general health questions and concerns

  • No-cost, no-appointment consultations in a welcoming community environment

When: First Thursday of the month 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Stamp Out Hunger

Neighborhood House is excited to join the National Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the nation's largest one-day collection, with all Rochester area donations going directly to the Neighborhood House Food Pantry.

How to Get Involved

Spread the Word: Share this initiative with friends and family in the area to maximize our community impact!


Donate: Leave non-perishable food items near your mailbox on May 10th.


Watch for a mailer with instructions the week of May 5th. No mailer? Use any bag for your donation.


Volunteer: Help pick up donations, drive trucks, load/unload food, or sort items during and after the event.


All food collected stays local, helping to feed families facing hardship through the Neighborhood House Food Pantry
